
Jonathan has a background in business development in the UK and overseas and was instrumental in the creation of the regional Proof of Concept Fund. Previously he created and managed a number of investment funds including the £4m Rainbow Seed Fund. Jonathan is a non-executive director of a technology development company based in Newcastle.

Peter is the former Head of Innovation Management at the Judge Business School and is managing several research projects on the success factors for hi-tech businesses. He was responsible for building Cambridge Enterprise, the entrepreneurship resource within Cambridge University. Peter is on the board of three companies, is an active business angel and is on the advisory board of a Venture Capital firm.


Jane brings 20 years experience in management, consultancy and training in the UK, US and the Netherlands. She has a strong knowledge of regional and national investment programmes gained from the global training and consultancy company General Physics. Jane holds a Diploma in Management Studies and an MSc in Counselling and Supervision from Glasgow Caledonian University.

Jennifer is an experienced consultant in fund management and business support development. She is currently studying towards a PhD in Venture Capital for high-tech companies at Durham University. Jennifer brings to the programme extensive knowledge of the publicly-funded provision of business support and venture capital not only in the North East but across the UK.

Paul has extensive experience within the private, public and voluntary sectors. He joins from Newcastle University where he was manager of the Enterprise Centre. Paul has a particular interest in intellectual property and has recently published on this topic. A growing interest in knowledge transfer led to him being the first person in the UK to be awarded a postgraduate qualification in this topic.
